Pine Castle Historical Society, Inc.
The Pine Castle Historical Society was established in 2014 to preserve the history of Pine Castle and South Orange County. Why is this important? Because Pine Castle predates Orlando and it was the breadbasket for that infant community.

Membership Donations Now Due By March 31st Every Year
To: All Members and Prospective Members
On January 10, 2024, the Board of Directors voted to standardize the renewal date for all memberships to March 31st annually. This action was done to improve financial management and budgeting accuracy. Overall, this change aims to streamline the membership renewal process, improve financial tracking, and facilitate better budgeting for your organization. Previously, membership donations were due annually on the unique anniversary date of each member, resulting in a variety of due dates throughout the year.

Annual Meeting - March 17th
Before you partake of corn beef and cabbage, before you collect your four- leaf clover for luck, and before you play your favorite rendition of “When Irish eyes are smiling” you are invited to come to the Pine Castle Historical Society Annual Meeting this Sunday, March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day at the Pine Castle Woman’s Club, 5901 S Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32809. The Annual Meeting starts at 2PM.
Our special guest will be Christy Grieger, Director of the Winter Park Museum.
Come join us as we honor our Community Service recipient Richard Cronin for his dedication to educating Floridians about our colorful history. In addition, our History Award will be presented to Lydia Roper for her contributions to PCHS and her familial connections to Pine Castle pioneers.
We look forward to seeing you and hearing your ideas regarding how we navigate the challenges of completing the restoration of the Crawford House. Light refreshments will be served.
See you Sunday!
What We Do
The Pine Castle Historical Society, Inc. works to Preserve, Restore, Archive, Publish, Envision, and Educate local residents and those visiting the Orlando area.
The Executive Board is working with Orange County government leadership to conceptualize the future of the Pine Castle Community. This is beginning with the beautification of Wilks Ave. This is where the Pine Castle Historical Society Museum is located and currently undergoing construction. Orange County government has added 5′ wide sidewalks on both sides of the street and plans to plant shade trees in the future.
